These anniversary celebrations were highly prestigious and successfully organized under the leadership of Gokul Navadurga Association President, K. Mohan Yadav. He ensured the grand success of the events, praying that by the blessings of Goddess Durga Matha, the people of the entire constituency are blessed with good health, longevity, and boundless prosperity.
As a major highlight of these celebrations, the association specially honored 50 prominent Sri Devi devotees (worshippers) who have dedicated their lives to spiritual service. Under the leadership of Mohan Yadav, these devotees were grandly felicitated with specially designed, beautiful mementos of the Goddess's sacred spiritual symbols and presented with honorable awards.
Speaking on this occasion, Association President K. Mohan Yadav raised critical concerns regarding global environmental disasters, climate change, and ongoing natural crises:"Due to the El Niño effect, temperatures are rising much earlier than usual. Severe heatwaves and high temperatures are being recorded not just in summer, but during other months as well. The Southwest Monsoon, which is the lifeline for India and the world, has weakened due to El Niño. Because of these conditions, the lack of rainfall will cause groundwater levels to deplete rapidly. Water storage in ponds and reservoirs will drop significantly, leading to severe drinking and irrigation water crises. Crops will dry up due to delayed rainfall, causing heavy losses to farmers. Food grain production will decrease, which is likely to inflate the prices of essential commodities. Therefore, we have prayed with deep devotion to the universal mother, Sri Durga Devi, to protect us and the entire world from these disastrous times."
He further lauded the vital role played by the Devi Upasakas in fostering spiritual values in society and keeping the tradition of the Goddess's worship alive. He stated that the association considers it a blessing earned from past lives to recognize their devotion and honor them with these awards. Local devotees turned out in large numbers during the 11 days of these sacred celebrations to receive the Goddess's teertham and prasadam, feeling spiritually fulfilled.
BRS leader Gudem Madhusudan Reddy attended as the chief guest for the Durga Matha immersion procession. Following the successful completion of their strict Bhavani Matha deeksha, the devotees proceeded to Medak Edupayala to seek the blessings of Sri Durga Matha.
The grand procession and celebrations saw the active participation of , including Mohan Yadav, Srikanth Yadav, Kiran Mudhiraj, Brahmam Chari, Nani, Raju, and Chitla Kundan Mudiraj (BJP, Gautam Nagar GHMC Division Booth President). The event was made a grand success by the residents of Gokul Nagar, trust members, women, local leaders, and a massive gathering of devotees. The entire temple premises resonated beautifully with the singing of devotional hymns and chants praising Goddess Durga.
