On the occasion, Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta congratulated all the doctors and the administration of Sant Parmanand Hospital for their remarkable contribution to healthcare services. She said that through their dedicated service, they had touched the lives of millions of people and provided them with better treatment and relief. She appreciated the hospital's commitment during challenging circumstances such as the COVID-19 pandemic, stating that not a single doctor, employee or member of the hospital management had abandoned the people of Delhi during that difficult period.  She further said that the newly inaugurated IVF Centre would bring a new ray of hope into the lives of countless families and would be an important step towards making healthcare services more compassionate and accessible.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said,

"In accordance with the vision of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, the Delhi Government is continuously working towards making Delhi a global medical hub. According to WHO standards, there should be five medical beds per 1,000 people, whereas Delhi as well as the country are still behind this benchmark. At present, the Delhi Government is able to provide two beds per 1,000 people in Delhi, while the combined availability of beds through the government and private sectors is approximately 2.5 per 1,000 people. The government is committed to making Delhi a medical hub and is working extensively in this direction. To achieve this target at the earliest, the government and the private healthcare sector will have to work together so that medical infrastructure can be expanded and people can access better healthcare facilities."**

She further said,

"I would like Sant Parmanand Hospital also to come forward with a good proposal for starting a new healthcare project in collaboration with the Delhi Government under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The Delhi Government will extend all possible support to initiatives aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure and providing the best medical facilities to the people."

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. B. G. Bangur, Chairman of Sant Parmanand Hospital, said,

"The launch of the IVF Centre is an important milestone in the expansion of the hospital's specialised healthcare services. The dream of becoming parents holds a very special emotional significance in the life of every couple. Our endeavour is to provide such couples with modern medical technology, sensitive care, reliable treatment and expert medical guidance."

The newly established IVF Centre will provide couples with specialised consultation for reproductive health issues, necessary diagnostic investigations and appropriate treatment facilities. Equipped with modern technology and expert medical guidance, the centre will serve as an important support system for couples seeking medical assistance in their journey towards parenthood.

The inauguration of the centre marks another significant step in the expansion of Sant Parmanand Hospital's modern and specialised medical services. This initiative further strengthens the hospital's commitment to providing quality healthcare services to people in Delhi and neighbouring regions.
