Barbeque Nation, Indiranagar Presents Andhra Utsavam by Chef Meera - A Culinary Feast of the Six Shadruchulu

Bangalore, Nov 27: Barbeque Nation, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, is set to take guests on a flavourful journey through Andhra Pradesh with Andhra Utsavam by Chef Meera, an exclusive chef's pop-up curated by Chef Meera GT, founder of Vankayakura n Tales. Happening from 26th to 30th November 2025, this five-day celebration reimagines Andhra cuisine through a rich, sensory experience beyond spice.

An architect by profession and culinary storyteller by passion, Chef Meera GT is known for reshaping perceptions of Andhra cuisine beyond its spicy edge. With Andhra Utsavam, she explores the deeper philosophy of Shadruchulu, the six essential tastes that define Telugu cooking, blending heritage with innovation and heart.

The menu brings together home-style comfort and regional gems from the kitchens of coastal, Rayalaseema, and Godavari Andhra. Guests can start their feast with delicacies like Kanda Vepudu and Alasanda Vadalu. The live grill counters feature aromatic non-vegetarian appetizers such as Chicken Cheekulu, skewered spicy chicken grilled Andhra-style, and Tawa Chepa, perfectly pan-seared fish with a coastal twist.

The main course celebrates Andhra's bold yet balanced flavours, from the iconic Guthi Vankaya Masala, to Konaseema Pulao, a fragrant coconut milk–based vegetable pulao inspired by the lush backwaters of coastal Andhra. For meat lovers, highlights include Andhra Kodi Kura, a hearty, home-style chicken curry; Chepala Pulusu, a tangy fish stew bursting with spice and tamarind; and Konaseema Kodi Pulao, a signature green-chilli and coconut-spiced rice dish.

Rounding off the feast are comforting Andhra-style desserts like Bellam Paramannam, a traditional rice and jaggery pudding; Ravva Laddu, and Junnu, a rare, melt-in-the-mouth milk pudding made using colostrum, a nostalgic treat from Andhra's festive kitchens.

Speaking about the festival, Chef Meera GT shared,

"Andhra cuisine is a reflection of warmth and balance where every flavour has a purpose and a story. Andhra Utsavam is my way of bringing those stories to life, crafted with authenticity, love, and a touch of home. Savour sweet, sour, salty, spicy, bitter and tangy flavours of Andhra in perfect harmony."

Through Andhra Utsavam by Chef Meera, Barbeque Nation continues its mission to celebrate India's diverse culinary heritage through chef-led pop-ups and experiential dining. With its live grills, interactive stations, and storytelling through flavour, this collaboration promises guests a memorable exploration of Andhra's culture and cuisine.
