Oct 15: Saif Ali Khan has finally arrived on Instagram, and if his first few moves on the platform are anything to go by, he has understood the assignment. First, he has been trending for following just one person and that's his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan. Then, he found himself in a playful exchange with son Ibrahim Ali Khan. Not a bad start for someone who has long preferred to keep social media at arm’s length.
In the space of one comment, the conversation went from identifying Abba to revisiting baby Ibrahim. Somewhere in the Pataudi archives, it appears, there is a photograph for every occasion.
Meanwhile, Saif’s decision to follow Kareena first has been catching attention online. Given that Kareena has spent years sharing glimpses of their family life with her followers, it is rather sweet to see Saif make his Instagram entrance with his wife as his first follow. The follow button did the talking.
For a man who has previously admitted to enjoying the peace and quiet of staying off social media, Saif seems to be easing into Instagram quite comfortably. His first post gave followers a look at his world; his exchange with Ibrahim gave them a little of the family banter that comes with it.
