Anchored in the theme “Bengal on Your Plate. Puja in Your Heart”, the initiative draws on the deep connection between food and festivity in West Bengal, offering travellers a taste of the region during one of its most significant celebrations.
Commencing from 13th to 21st October 2026, the experience draws inspiration from the festive atmosphere of a traditional Durga Puja pandal, transforming the airport lounge and the travel QSR outlets into a cultural space that brings together the flavours, craftsmanship and traditions of West Bengal. From décor inspired by terracotta artistry, bamboo, clay and shola to motifs reflecting traditional Bengali attire, offering travellers a glimpse into the region’s cultural heritage as they pass through Kolkata.
Complementing the ambience, the menu at the lounge and QSRs features a specially curated selection of regional favourites such as the Kolkata-style biryani and traditional Bengali sweets including nolen gurer pastry, among other delicacies. Adding to the experience, is also a masterclass for food connoisseurs led by the chef himself. At the masterclass, one will get a chance to experience a signature regional recipe prepared with traditional methods and culinary stories related to the Puja festivities.
Through this initiative, TFS continues to strengthen its vision of redefining airport hospitality by turning lounges into cultural destinations, where every journey becomes an opportunity to experience the warmth and richness of India.
