Coimbatore, 23 October 2026: The Residency Towers Coimbatore ushered in the festive season with its traditional Grand Fruit-Mixing Ceremony, bringing together the hotel’s culinary team to prepare an exquisite blend of fruits, nuts, spirits and aromatic spices for its signature Christmas plum cakes.
The ceremony witnessed the preparation of nearly 1,000 kilograms of premium fruits and nuts, including almonds, walnuts, cranberries, raisins, figs, black currants and candied ginger. Macerated in the finest spirits, demerara sugar and fragrant spices, the rich blend will be carefully matured to develop its distinctive flavours and aromas ahead of Christmas.
The ceremony saw guests and hotel staff come together to participate in the traditional cake-mixing ritual, celebrating the joy and togetherness of the festive season. The carefully prepared blend of fruits and nuts will be left to mature, allowing the flavours to develop before being transformed into signature Christmas plum cakes at Krave Patisserie.
