India, 7th November, 2025: Presenting the next stride in lighting innovation, LED Expo New Delhi 2025 will showcase cutting-edge products, components, and applications driving India’s transition towards sustainable, energy-efficient infrastructure. Spanning 14,000 sqm, the event will bring together industry leaders, architects, interior designers, real estate developers, and consultants to explore, source, and engage in meaningful discussions on the future of lighting.

Lighting currently accounts for nearly 15% of India’s total electricity consumption, and the sector continues to evolve rapidly. According to Mordor Intelligence, the Indian LED lighting market is valued at USD 11.56 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 16.63 billion by 2030. The government has reinforced this growth trajectory by reopening the PLI scheme for white goods, including LED lights, encouraging domestic manufacturing and component localisation.
Over the years, LED Expo has grown in tandem with the industry it represents. Exhibitors have consistently showcased innovations that power landmark projects such as the Kumbh Mela, World Trade Centre, Delhi, and large-scale highway and street lighting initiatives. The rising demand for LEDs in construction, real estate, retail, and infrastructure reflects the sector’s diversification from façade and landscape lighting to smart, solar, and decorative systems. This expansion also extends to automotive, marine, and defence applications, while markets for components like lenses and reflectors are thriving.
With steadfast support from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the 2025 edition will feature a dedicated MSME Pavilion, spotlighting 40+ Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and their innovative products. This marks the third consecutive year of the Ministry’s partnership, underscoring its commitment to fostering indigenous growth and promoting self-reliance in the lighting ecosystem.
Reaffirming the sector’s upward trajectory, Mr. Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, said:
“The LED lighting industry in India has shown a strong positive trend with diverse application areas. The expo provides an ideal platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange, enabling homegrown innovators to scale successfully. With government schemes like PLI driving momentum, LED lighting has evolved from basic illumination to defining the aesthetics and ambience of modern spaces.”
The event continues to attract strong international participation from China, UAE, Germany, Hong Kong, and South Korea, with over 60 new product launches expected this year reaffirming the global industry’s keen interest in India’s fast-growing market.
This year’s knowledge sessions will explore how architectural façades are transforming into dynamic canvases through light innovation, shaping brand experiences, and redefining urban skylines. Experts will share insights on design thinking, materials, and intelligent control systems that turn façades into living stories from the subtlety of daylight to the brilliance of night illumination.
The 2025 edition will also spotlight emerging areas such as solar lighting for sustainability, human-centric lighting aligned with circadian rhythms, and façade lighting as an architectural storyteller highlighting lighting’s central role in design and wellness.
Supported by leading institutions including the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL), Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Council of Architecture (COA), and International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), LED Expo New Delhi 2025 marks a milestone three decades of empowering India’s lighting transformation.
Part of Messe Frankfurt’s global Light + Building Technology portfolio, LED Expo New Delhi continues to serve as a vital bridge connecting India’s lighting industry with international markets. The next global Light + Building event will be held from 8 – 13 March 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany.
